Muhammad Arham Khan · Age 14 · Poom Belt · Cadet
A Journey from District to International Taekwondo.
Muhammad Arham Khan is a 14-year-old taekwondo athlete representing Markhor Taekwondo Academy in Karachi, Pakistan. He began training at the age of 9 under the guidance of his coaches, and has since competed at district, national, and international levels.
Arham trains seven days a week. Mornings are spent on conditioning and strength, while evenings focus on sparring and technical sparring. As a Poom-belt cadet, he balances elite-level competition with his Cambridge O-Level studies, applying the same discipline to academics that he applies to the dojang.
To date, Arham has earned more than 20 district-level medals, a national silver medal at the Korean Ambassador Junior & Cadet Taekwondo Championship in Islamabad, a bronze medal at The 9 Heroes International Championship in Thailand, and a gold medal at the Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League in Singapore. He continues to train with the goal of representing Pakistan at higher international stages.
From Karachi dojang to international stages.
Arham is trained at Markhor Taekwondo Academy in Karachi under the supervision of two coaches who have shaped his career.
Sir Abdul Qadeer Khan is the academy's head coach. He is the foundation of Arham's training — teaching all the technical aspects of taekwondo, including stances, kicks, blocks, strikes, sparring tactics, and competition strategy. Under his guidance, athletes from Markhor Taekwondo Academy have moved from district-level championships to international podiums.
Sir Wajahat Ali Khan is the academy's poomsae master. He trains athletes in forms, technique precision, and the discipline that comes with perfecting each pattern. Beyond technique, Sir Wajahat motivates and prepares the team mentally for competition — building the focus and confidence required to step onto international stages like Singapore and Thailand.
